    Unfortunately, whenever I’ve tried to contact Mitch, all I’ve gotten was a form letter that was often only marginally related to what I said. Although I applaud your idea of reminding him of his past good deeds, he now seems only interested in doing anything he can to gain and retain power. He stopped serving his constituency long ago (except by getting his wife to direct extra money to Kentucky, although I’m not sure where that went).

  2. Oh, I'm not trying to portray McConnell as open to the public's views. He talks one-way, and only through TV ads.
    I was pointing to the result -- a Republican House and Republican Senate and far right extremist president were intending to abolish the EPA, and to gut federal workers' benefits. Letters and phone calls stopped them from doing either. And this happened while for the first time since 1953, the House, Senate and White House were in GOP hands.
    I was trying to point out that often all is not lost when it seems that it is. KEEP WRITING LETTERS AND CALLING, everyone!
